Things have been moving and evolving rapidly at the OTTC in the past few months, with the OTTC moving more towards setting up programs that will provide many more young players with a consistent base of skills to gain a higher level of play. As a start as you know, our club was recently designated a High Performance Centre (HPC) thanks to the efforts of owner Steve Lambruschini and coach Priyanka Pareek.
The ITTF Mentorship Program aims to support and connect promising and talented coaches from around the world with high-profile experts in their fields to provide insight and expertise to candidates in a unique and direct setting. Mentoring includes regular online sessions along with relevant monthly assignments. The four month long program will be conducted online where mentees are expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism throughout the process and will be required to submit a report by the end of the program.
Starting in September this year, coach Priyanka will be mentored by ITTF Coaches holding positions of National Team Coaches and ITTF High Performance Program Coaches that specialize in their fields and who have years of knowledge and experience.
Not surprisingly, coach Priyanka is extremely excited to begin the program and to bring this knowledge to ongoing and future OTTC programs. Congratulations to coach Priyanka, Steve Lambruschini and the OTTC for continuing to bring the best possible training to our future young table tennis stars!
