Every year for the past 72 years, the Ottawa Sports Awards have celebrated sporting excellence in the nation’s capital. As the largest and most inclusive amateur sport recognition event in Canada, the Awards honour outstanding athletes across 65 different sports—from Athletics to Wrestling.

For the second consecutive year, our Head Coach Priyanka Pareek has been recognized at the Ottawa Sports Awards, receiving the 2024 Award for Table Tennis. This honour acknowledges her outstanding achievement as the 3rd highest-ranked active female table tennis player in Canada. Priyanka has achieved this while masterfully managing her responsibilities as High-Performance Coach at the Ottawa Table Tennis Club (OTTC). She also coaches a wide range of groups, including Kids, Youth, Adults, Daytime Advanced, Women’s, High-Performance, and provides private lessons whenever her schedule allows. While Priyanka is grateful for the recognition, she remains focused on supporting her High-Performance Youth Group at tournaments both in Ottawa and across provinces, offering guidance and encouragement throughout their matches.
She extends her heartfelt thanks to Steve Lambruschini, Managing Director of the Ottawa Table Tennis Club, as well as to her friends and fellow players for their ongoing support. Priyanka looks forward to continuing her journey in 2025, both as a coach and an athlete.
