Priyanka Pareek - OTTC Director of Training
Priyanka began playing table tennis at age 3, having been taught by her parents who are both National level coaches in India. Needless to say, with such a solid training background, commitment towards the sport and perseverance, she quickly rose to become India's top number 1 player in the U16, U18 and U21 categories. Priyanka was a member of the Indian National Team for eight years, and had the opportunity to train under Massimo Costantini, currently holding the position of ITTF Elite Coach.
She is currently undertaking her Master's at the University of Ottawa in Literature. When time permits, she competes in House and provincial tournaments. Priyanka’s highest world rank is 69 in the ITTF U18 Category. She is currently ranked 3rd in Canada.
Priyanka received her certification as an ITTF High Performance Coach in July 2023 and was also selected by the ITTF to be part of their mentoring program with National and International level implications.
Her love and expertise in the sport has led her to create, develop and coach several training programs including the Women's Training Group, Children's Training Group, Daytime Training Group, Youth High Performance Training Group and gives private lessons when time allows.

Yousif Makkawi - OTTC Club Attendant
Being almost a 24/7 operation, the OTTC has help in keeping it's operation running as smoothly as possible. One of our Club Attendants helping to do this is Yousif Makkawi, a formidable player himself, he helps keep our facilities clean and tidy, books coaching sessions and keeps bookings updated. He also answers questions, takes equipment orders, answers the phone and helps in any way he can to keep thing going. As an added bonus, he is also fluent in Russian and Arabic!
When time permits, he can be seen playing with someone without a partner.
Club Ownership
Steve Lambruschini - OTTC Founder/Owner
Like many of us, Steve grew up with a ping-pong table in the basement of his house. By 2007, he was a member of the Scarborough Kings Table Tennis Club and Canadian-Chinese Table Tennis Association in Toronto. In 2010, he moved to Ottawa where he jumped into table tennis as both a vocation (he found employment at Table Tennis Canada) and an avocation (he organized local tournaments at the National Table Tennis Training Centre). Several years of working closely with the National Team helped to shape Steve's understanding of the fundamentals of table tennis—proper technique, controlling spin and game strategy—something he looks forward to passing on to new players at OTTC.
